Reflecting on a Year of Creativity and Grit
Hey fam! 2024 has been such a whirlwind – balancing motherhood, working full-time as a flight attendant, and pursuing my passion as a multimedia artist. 🎭✨
I’ve had the opportunity to sing professionally across venues – from weddings and church events to business gigs. On top of that, I rekindled my love for acting and landed a few incredible film jobs! Here are the top 3 experiences in film that made 2024 unforgettable:
1. Beast Games 2024 (Reality Competition Series)
Although the show frames it as 1,000 people competing for millions, the truth is there were actually 2,000 competitors – and I was one of them. Due to NDAs and ongoing lawsuits, I’ll keep the details light, but here’s what I will say:
- We filmed the first week inside the Raiders NFL stadium.
- I had screen time, some memorable moments, and even got to meet and speak with Mr. Beast.
- Not everything went as expected, but I left with new connections, lessons, and experiences I wouldn’t trade.
Through this experience, I realized that when faced with "$5 Million Dollars Cash," I am not as aggressive and liberal as I once believed I would be to win. I am incredibly grateful for the experience and the compensation I have received.

2. A Complete Unknown (Bob Dylan Biopic)
Being a background actor in this film was like stepping into history. I’m featured in at least one scene, including the iconic Newport Folk Festival. Every day on set felt like being transported to a time before I was born. Seeing signs with the word "Negro" printed on them stirred emotions I can’t fully describe.
Timothée Chalamet (who plays Bob Dylan) brought the set to life. When he took the stage and sang “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” we weren’t acting – we were living the moment. It felt as if time stood still. 🎶
📸 Here are some pictures from the Bob Dylan movie shoot. The first image is from a scene set at the Newport Folk Festival. I'm in the front row on the left. The other pictures show the me in the dressing room as we prepared to film. Seeing myself in that wig, dress, and sneakers made me feel like I was looking at my grandmother or great aunt. It was a truly ethereal experience!
3. And Just Like That (HBO – SATC Reboot)
Yep, I was part of the Sex and the City reboot as a background actor! Watching Nicole Ari Parker prep and nail her scene in a New York City park was inspiring. It was a short but fun day – and just like that, it was over!
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from filming that day, and I’m not sure which episode I appeared in. If you ever see me pop up or walking around in a scene, take a screenshot, tag me, and share – I’d love to see it!
Acting has been a lifeline. Leaving an abusive ex, surviving COVID, and constantly rebuilding has taken its toll – but being able to step into roles, use my God-given gifts, and create for a part of my living fuels me. My voice is my power, and my children are my reason to keep going. 🔥
I’m still actively fighting in court to protect myself and my kids from him. It’s exhausting, but knowing I’m creating a better life for us keeps me moving forward.
2024 owes me absolutely nothing. Here’s to even bigger dreams and brighter moments in 2025.
Thank you for supporting this journey. Your love and encouragement mean everything.
Let’s connect and collaborate in the new year!
